Anthony DelDotto (one of my past students and now a PGA Professional at Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, N.Y. . . .the home of the first PGA Championship) sent me a link to the chart above.

Anthony claims (and I agree 110%) that learning the ball flight laws is key to becoming a true master of one's golf ball. So, although this chart does not quantify the relationship between swing path and face angle, it does show everything needed to figure out what actually happens by just observing the flight of a shot and the direction of the divot.
